With pandemic concerns for safety but the look ahead will be “Wicked Good”

With so much already managed, planned and now unknown, the Program committee voted to postpone the ISRC Fall conference for 2020. The conference was slated with a fabulous lineup of presenters and topics, but will now be saved for the future. The decision was hard and comes at a time when the biennium is closing in on the ability to complete CEU requirements for licensure in Indiana, but we defer to the need to be safety conscious. Pat Ingle was appointed 2020 Program Committee Chair, and the Program committee membership worked hard anticipating the improved outlook of the pandemic which is yet to unfold. The safest move is to protect membership and the ISRC to make the best choice for sustaining next year’s programs, scholarships and awards. Some good news coming out of these dealings were negotiations by Jeff Scott and others in the contracts with Embassy Suites for next years conference and locking some favorable options for all. We look to the future for a great meeting in Plainfield, Indiana next year. The twelve-member committee will stay busy under Pat’s leadership. For ideas about your favorite and newest vendors or to get updated exhibitor communication, reach out to Jeff Hunsucker and others working with Jeff so we can work the magic on “Vendor” enrollment and relations for “Wicked Good” exhibits. Thanks to Ashley Hartman who will save her hard work and magic developing the Program Brochure for next year.
As we look ahead to any and all gatherings, we may expect to wear masks in groups, limit groups, practice social distancing, and visit hand sanitizer stations frequently. Stay safe, and Stay RT Strong so we can celebrate next year at the 2021 ISRC Conference in Plainfield.
