The 46th ISRC Conference Won’t be just Impressive and Fabulous, It Will be “Wicked Good”

by John T Murphy, MS, RRT

With so much already managed, the task list is being checked and double-checked to assure a brilliant experience for The Annual ISRC Fall Conference. Following the appointment of Pat Ingle was appointed 2020 Program Committee Chair, the committee members started working on assignments with energetic vitality. The Program theme will be “Wicked Good RT’s – Innovate, Inspire, Heal” and we are embracing it. We expect fun with the selected theme, so get ready to register for fun in October. It’s Halloween time, so be prepared for witches and wicked goodness getting a lot of play, especially when participants do their part on October 1 and 2. The ISRC 46th Annual Fall Conference will unfold at the Plainfield Embassy Suites again. The twelve-member committee remains attentive and busy under Pat’s leadership. Don’t forget to reach out to Mary Todd for your ideas on conjuring up a most successful “Silent Auction.” Maybe you’re willing to donate or know a group or business who is willing. Craig Traxler will magically dispense the treasure in the Treasury as needed, while Jeff Hunsucker and others will work the magic on “Vendor” enrollment and relations for wicked good exhibits. Jeff Scott will conjure up all of the “Local Arrangements,” Stephanie Colletti will cast spells to make “Eventbrite Registration” behave nicely, Kathy Stephens will conjure up “Registration & Badges” for the attendees and exhibitors. Susan Wynn will continue to work her enchantments to prospect for “Presenters.” Brittaney Haynes will clear the fog for “CRCE Application and Evaluations.” Susan VonTobel will do the voodoo that she can do to liaising for the student contingent in attendance. John Murphy will be helping with Vendors, Registration, and a “Magical” Trivia Night experience, while Ashley Hartman will work her magic developing the Program Brochure along with duties for Eventbrite and Vendor Registration. Once again, the Wicked Ways of RT wisdom has been unleashed for the good of the order, so “Fly My Pretties, Fly!”

The committee works to improve the conference in ways that will be observable and efficient. We plan to improve signage and communication, and place vendors closer to lecture halls. Managing vendor name badges and increasing student attendance are also important targets. We plan to expand Trivia Night and improve the experience. We are planning for recommended content and finalizing presenters and their schedules and arrangements. The group plans to maximize enjoyment and interest for all participants. As an RCP in Indiana, you can participate in planning by asking all of your business associates and vendors if they plan to attend and exhibit at the largest RT conference in Indiana. Give them the dates (October 1 & 2) and Vendor registration link for the ISRC Program at Embassy Suites in Plainfield. Direct them to Jeff Hunsucker, John Murphy, or any Program committee member for assistance. It will be a “Win-Win”! Wicked Good!
