Remembering a fallen Caregiver

by staff contributors, Jody Delp, John Murphy

Amy Renae (Koch) Kirsch, 43, of Evansville, Indiana tragically passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019 in Pagosa Springs, CO as the result of an accident while on vacation.  Amy was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church, a 1994 graduate of FJ Reitz High School and a 1997 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana. Amy was a 1997 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana in the Respiratory Therapy Program.

She worked as the Lead Educational Coordinator for the Respiratory Therapy Department at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She was Chair of the Advisory Committee of the University of Southern Indiana Respiratory Therapy Program. She loved her job and her co-workers.

Amy was a close personal friend of Jody Delp and they graduated RT school together. Amy was a great friend and therapist; she loved the beach, dancing, traveling with her family, the outdoors, camping, photography, and gathering with friends and family.

Surviving Amy are her husband of 21 years, Michael Kirsch, Jr.; two daughters, Victoria and Samantha Kirsch; a son, Nicholas Kirsch; her parents, Raymond and Sylvia (Mayse) Koch; one brother, Gary (Stephanie) Koch and many nieces and nephews.

We are grateful to have known and worked with such a compassionate educator and caregiver.
